You Can Dance! Performing Arts School has been servicing the Emu Plains, Leonay, Penrith, Glenmore Park, Castlereagh, Glenbrook, Mulgoa, Mt Riverview, Blaxland, Springwood, Lower Blue Mountains, and Western Suburbs districts since 2004 providing its local community with excellence in dance and performing arts tuition at an affordable cost. Located at 2/8 Bromley Road, Emu Plains the dance school is in the heart of Emu Plains and in very close proximity to Leonay, Penrith, Glenmore Park, and all Lower Blue Mountains suburbs. 

 

You Can Dance! offer a huge range of classes in all facets of dance and performing arts tuition including Jazz, Classical Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance), Tap (Glenn Wood Syllabus), Funk/Hip Hop, Contemporary, Singing, Drama, Boys only Hip Hop, Acrobats, Tinies Fun Dance (2-3 yrs) & American Cheerleading catering to all students aged 2yrs and up. They also have a special dance class for the intellectually challenged.

 

You Can Dance! has purpose built Dance & Performing Arts Studios. Boasting 3 large dance studios to conduct their extensive timetable of dance, singing and drama classes...studios are also air-conditioned, with sprung wooden floors, barres & mirrors. There is also a large air conditioned reception/waiting area. Their dance studios are one of the largest and best equipped in the Penrith, Emu Plains and Lower Mountains district by far!

 

You Can Dance! staff are qualified, highly trained and expert in their fields providing challenging, nurturing and exciting classes in all areas of Dance and the Performing Arts. You Can Dance! has a team philosophy where all students work together creating a positive environment in which to learn; teachers embrace students achievements and develop student potential by also nurturing their self esteem - if you don't feel great about what you are doing...why do it!! Whether you wish to enrol in classes for fun and fitness or aim for a professional career as a performing artist - all can be catered for with their experienced and professional staff to help lead the way! 

 

You Can Dance! also offer many performance opportunities throughout the year for their performance troupe and American Cheerleading squad, performing at countless local events in the Penrith and surrounding metropolitan areas, as well as studio tours on occasion to showcase the talent of their enthusiastic and exceptionally talented students! They offer examinations in Classical Ballet  (Royal Academy of Dance) and Tap (Glenn Wood Syllabus) for those students who wish to participate in exams. Over the years You Can Dance students have achieved exceptionl results in their Tap and Classical Ballet exams scoring a distinction/high distinction average in both ballet and Tap exams with many students scoring 98% plus in their Glenn Wood Tap Exams in 2008 receiving Gold Awards. A reflection of the excellence in tuition provided at You Can Dance!

School Principal Jane Houlihan has trained extensively in all facets of the Performing Arts – with an emphasis on dance. Her professional performance experience is extensive, performing & choreographing professionally for the past 18 years supporting numerous acclaimed Australian artists Australia wide. Jane Houlihan is also a trained primary school teacher, and has enormous experience teaching students of all ages from the tinies to the adults.

 

You Can Dance! has an exhaustive costume wardrobe. Costume Hire in large groups can be accommodated for primary school & high school groups, dance schools & other performance groups for an extremely reasonable cost!

 

In 2009 You Can Dance! will cater also to Bridal couples & bridal parties wanting to do that something special for their Bridal Waltz and make their wedding memorable.
